National Corndog Day
National Corndog Day is a celebration concerning basketball. A corn dog is normally a hot dog sausage coated in a thick cornmeal batter. The first celebration of National Corn Dog day took place in 1992. It involved both corndogs and basketball. It has since grown to also include tater tots and beer. Currently National Corn Dog day is sponsored by Foster Farms a California based poultry producer.
National Corndog Day 2016 is coming March 19th. This is a day that your taste buds have waited for. For the past 24 years America has celebrated the corndog. The pairing of sporting and gastronomic achievement seem to go hand in hand. Americans seem to love basketball and meat on sticks and the chance to catch up with friends while enjoying both.
Today Basketball fans have had the chance to enjoy 7 to 8 hours of outstanding hoops from start to finish and without turning the channel. A steady diet of corndogs seems to only make the day better.
