Every One Deserves Safe Drinking Water

It may seem odd for you for the United Nations to be involved with the pluming system but for the last decade they were. It was the decade for action "Water for Life" the focus was increased attention on water related issues. Parts of the world preventable diseases related to water and sanitation claim the lives of about 3.1 million people per year. Children less than 5 years of age are the ones that suffer the most. The lack of safe drinking water and adequate sanitation.
The access to safe drinking water supply and sanitation is the goal. The World Health Organization and the World Plumbing Council teamed up to work for the "Health Aspects of Plumbing" publication. Inside the publication sustainable health, for the entire family with emphasis on children was not possible without access to safe drinking water and basic sanitation.
In hopes of reaching the point where no one has to deal with poor sanitation and good clean drinking water. Many organizations are heading out to help with this problem. Churches are stretching out to help as well.
