Family Fun Idea : Flavored Popcorn


Have some family fun making some tasty popcorn that you will all enjoy during movie night. There are so many awesome flavors. I listed a few ideas here but decide what taste you have and search for a way to make your favorite flavor



Cajun (Martha stewart.com)
6 tsp paprika
3 tsp onion powder
3 tsp garlic powder
5 tbsp salt
  2 tsp freshly ground black pepper
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper, (optional)

place all of the ingredients in a medium bowl; stir until they are combined, and transfer to an airtight container for storage. Season popcorn to taste.

Mr. Food Cinnamon Toast Popcorn

8 cups popped popcorn         
2 tablespoons butter, melted    
3 tablespoons confectioners' sugar     
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon 
 
Preheat the oven to 350 degree F. Coat a large rimmed baking sheet with nonstick cooking spray. Place the popcorn in a plastic resealable plastic bag. In a small bowl mix butter and sugar. Mix well and add to the popcorn. Add the cinnamon, seal bag and shake to coat well Spread over cookie sheet and bake 10 minutes.

Top popcorn with any of these toppings as well
 
  • Grated Parmesan Cheese (see recipes below)
  • Herb Shake: Oregano, Basil, Parsley
  • Salt & Vinegar: Spritz lightly with vinegar, sprinkle salt to taste
  • Lemon Pepper
  • Tabasco Sauce (mixed into melted butter then poured over top)
  • Creole Seasoning
  • Lime Juice Spritz & Lemon Pepper
  • Dill Weed & Celery Salt
  • Garlic sauteed in butter then poured over top
  • Taco seasoning mix
  •  
     

    Parmesan Nacho

    (tipnut offers lots of great idea)

    1/2 cup Parmesan cheese (grated)
    1 tsp Paprika
    1 tsp Chili powder
    1/2 tsp ground cumin
    1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
    1/4 tsp pepper
    1 tsp garlic salt
     
    1/2 cup Parmesan cheese (grated)
    1 tsp chili powder
    1 tsp garlic salt
    1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
    1 tsp oregano (dried)
    2 tsp basil (dried)
    lemon pepper or black pepper

    4 tbsp chili powder
    1 tsp salt
     1 tsp cayenne pepper
     6 tsp paprika
