J is for Jam

Jenny Matlock J is for Jam

One of my favorite childrens books includes Jam


and a very tasty recipe
Pecan Jam

■4 C. pecans, finely chopped


■4 C. sugar

■1/2 tsp. allspice

■3 Tbs. ground ginger

■4 Tbs. brown sugar

■1 C. butter

■3 Tbs. apple cider vinegar

■1 Tbs. cinnamon

■2 C. apple juice

Combine all ingredients in a large kettle. Cook on medium heat until it turns into a rich golden color (approx. 30 minutes). Hot pack in 7 8-oz. jars. Process in water bath for 15 minutes.
