I am so thankful to belong to a group on individuals who care that the children of our community go back with school supplies. Every year our church puts on a back to school bash and this year will not be different. About 50 of us got together today to fill up supply bags using the list that the teachers for each grade completed. We had a rather good time chatting and putting together bags of supplies. Sunday will be the big day with haircuts, school supplies, shoes, socks, clothing and food being handed out free of charge to those who need it.
It has been very hot here lately with temps near the 100s and the heat index around 115. So when we received the rain that God sent us I was very happy. It seemed to cool it down slightly as the clouds stayed around for a little while.
