Activities

This week promises to be a busy week. Starting this afternoon with an important meeting for all those that work with children at church. Monday will see my eldest and all the kids returning to school. Wednesday is the last night of backyard bible school. Friday is our first home football game you can bet we will be in the stands cheering the bulldogs on. Sunday I will begin teaching the lesson of Moses, return for meeting and that night begin teaching bible drills. Bible drills is something new for me but I believe will be great the gal I am working with is a wonderful person.

Goals

Goals this week include drinking more water, looking for great crafts for the Moses theme as well as looking for great fall crafts. I look forward to lots of great fun with the new theme and want to make it one the kids will not forget. My goal is also to get up 1/2 hour before the younger kids do to get my barrier and not to go back to bed. I have been really bad at this. Some days are just harder than others but here lately it has been very hard

Recipe I want to Make

Coconut Cake
1 package yellow cake mix
1 cup coconut
1 tsp. coconut flavoring

Mix cake according to directions, incorporating the cup of coconut and flavoring into mix. Bake according to box directions. Mix 1/2 cup sugar and 1-1/2 cups milk and bring to boil (do not cook). When cake is still warm from oven, punch holes with a fork or knife point and pour milk/sugar mixture over it. When ready to serve, frost with whipped topping (e.g., Cool Whip) and cover top with coconut (toasted if desired). May serve immediately, or keep fresh in covered container in fridge.
