Protect Little Ones from The Sun

I love the summer because it is so fun to go outside. There are so many great activities to do outside with the little ones. From getting in the kiddie pool to taking a walk fun is to be had all around. As you prepare to take your toddler outside to play there are a few things that you need to keep in mind.
  • A hat will not only make you look great but it will help you to shade your eyes and protect you from the dangerous rays of the sun. Your toddler should have a sun hat to wear as well.
  • Sunscreen is very important for babies and toddlers. Their skin is delicate and burns easily. If you will be in the water then you will need a sunscreen that works in the water as well. Reapplying the sunscreen may be necessary if you are in the sun for long periods of time.
  • Make sure that toddlers and small children playing with ride on toys such as tricycles and bicycles are not in danger of playing near streets or hills with large slopes that they may slide down.
  • Every year there are deaths reported of toddlers falling in the pool. Any pool even the very shallow ones should be well guarded. It is also a great idea to give children swimming lessons at young age.

Best tip of all is to have fun and enjoy yourself.

  1. Great tips! And don't forget heat. Small children can get overheated easily, so have then rehydrate and make sure they also can play under a shaded area.
