Caramel Pecan Brownies

Caramel Pecan Brownies

4 squares unsweetened baking chocolate
1/4 c butter
2 c sugar
4 eggs
1 c flour
1 pkg caramels, unwrapped
1/2 c whipping cream
2 c pecan halves

line 13x9 baking pan with foil extend over edges to form handles. Grease foil. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Microwave chocolate and butter in large microwave bowl on high 2 minutes or til butter is melted. Stir til chocolate is completely melted. Stir sugar into chocolate til well blended Mix in eggs Stir in flour til well blended Spread 1/2 of the brownie batter in prepared pan.
Bake 25 minutes or til brownies are firm to touch
Microwave caramels and cream in bowl on high 2 minutes or til caramels begin to melt Stir til smooth stir in 1 cup of the pecan halves. Gently spread caramel mix over baked brownies in pan Pour remaining unbaked brownie batter evenly over caramel mix Sprinkle with 1 cup pecan halvesBake 30 minutes more til firm to touch. Cool in pan, Gently run knife around edges of pan to loosen brownies from sides Lift from pan using foil as handles. Cut into squares
