Kitchen Tip: Cleaning your Garbage Disposal

One area that you don't want to overlook when cleaning the kitchen would be the garbage disposal. A simple way of cleaning the garbage disposal would be to sprinkle baking soda liberly over the inside of the garbage disposal. Then pour white vinegar over until it bubbles. Let set ten minutes Rinse with hot water and pour two or three ice cubes in the disposal and grind. Rinse again with hot water. As simple as that your disposal is clean and odor free and you have sharpened the blades as well

  3. OMG
Thanks for the tip. I always wondered what would be the best way. I usually just grind up one of the lemons from our tree. I quarter it, and grind it up. The acid seems to clean the blades good and the lemon gives it a wonderful smell. I will have to try your version too. Thanks for sharing sweetie. Country hugs, Sherry
