Halloween Baking

when I was a child I had a dear aunt and a grandmother who would make the holidays special for me. oh the lovely goodies they would bring by. Yes they were Christian women with strong hearts but yes they did believe in children having fun so Halloween was on that list of holidays to create special. Many times we would be blessed with a large plate of cookies on the holidays Today for the meme Making Home Sing Monday I wanted to share this tradition as this will be what I try to do for the little ones in my life as well. You can add what you will be doing or see what others are on the blog Moms the Word - Living for him

  1. I never really understood how Halloween was unChristian. It's a Christian holiday, you know, a day for remembering how the afterlife touches on our own. A day to try and understand that which frightens us, remember the dead, and, with trick or treating, reconnect with our communities. What's bad about any of that?:)

Also, as you point out, there are cookies!:D

  4. Oh, what sweet women the Lord placed in your life. I'll bet you passed on that tradition to your children and now to your grandchild.

The kids and I used to bake and decorate cookies during the Christmas holidays. I have precious memories of that and hopefully they do too.

Thank you for linking up today, your recipe looks yummy!
