A small kitchen tip that I came up with clearly on accident was to use coffee filters to spread oil onto skillets, griddles etc... This does work great and because they are rather cheap is very economical as well.

glad to know I'm not the only one to use the coffee filters. I've been doing that for years and have had many a strange look or comment from family and friends.
