ABC Wednesday featuring the letter S

S is for ship. Ships hold special meaning for me. A dear friend of mine went to the navy and was stationed on a ship. A ship also is what my mother was named after. My great grandfather was a sailor and the name of the ship was Meleta.

  1. What ship was your mother named after?

Also, did you get the Twitter background? I emailed it to you last week, but hadn't heard back. Are you having trouble with it? Or, hopefully not, do you not like it?

Just wanted to check in to make sure my email didn't go into your Spam folder. Thanks!

  2. I've heard of ships being named after people, but not usually the other way round. I'm wondering if your mother was named for the ship your Great Grandfather was stationed on!

On behalf of the team, thanks for taking part in ABC Wednesday this week. :)
