Happy Birthday

Happy Birthday to the Statue of Liberty. The lady herself was originally a gift given to the United States by the people of France. It was a gift of friendship that had been formed during the American Revolution. From that day forward the Statue of Liberty has stood for freedom and democracy as well as recognizing international friendship.

The people of both America and France worked together to bring the statue to life. On the American side the pedestal where the lady would stand was built. The French would be responsible for the design and manufacture of the statue. It would all be brought together and assembled in the United States.

Other's celebrating today as their birthday include
  • Bill Gates
  • Annie Potts
  • Brad Paisley
  • Caitlyn Jenner
